Hi I'm Willy,
I am in crunch mode here and need some advice. I made a bet with my son that for our next Mexico trip i would have my 6 pack back. Well....that time has come around and i now only have 65 days to achieve it.... Im 43, 5' 10.5", started my diet at 219lbs. Not horribly over weight. But the six pack is in the deep freeze. My cousin put me onto iifym, which led me to this app as well as the perfect origins live lean formula #1 program. Been on that for 1 week now and have shed a few pounds. Weight numbers arent real important to me as I understand fat weight vs muscle weight. BMI does count though. I started off at 30.1 and Im down to 28.2.
So i will be looking for some help with food and exercise ideas to keep me focused and turbo chargi g forward. Because so far killin myself and then eating "cardboard" isnt very appealing.
Thanks!

Don't mean to sound depressing but I just read a book about the look you are after. I am older but very similar stats. bmi about 27 percent, 5' 10" and 185 lbs. I started using the bowflex and read the bowflex body book. He has a masters in nutritien and has trained others for years to get their sixpack in 6 weeks, even though they are very successful and often drop 20 - 30 pounds in the six weeks, the meals are very restrictive. He recomends only exercizing 3 days per week at 20 - 30 minutes each time, working each muscle group to fatigue then moving to next. The diet starts at 1500 calories per day and drops 100 each 2 weaks. The bad news - the guys are at about 6 or 7 percent body fat when they are done and showing nice six packs. So you can do it yet but will have to have a balanced diet, eat several small meals per day and push hard when exercising. Good Luck to you. I am working on this in a modified slower pace. I have some health issues that seem to flare up just as I get rolling on a tough program which causes me to slow down the pace a bit. If you are healthy and no injuries you can do it. I have knee problems and a broken L4 in my spine, I used to compete in Karate and may have injured it then, lol couldnt do that now if I wanted. Go for it, don't starve yourself, that doesnt work, I tried 800 calorie a day diets, lost a few and hit bottom. The frequent but small balanced meals seems to work well.0

No worries. I definitely hear where you are coming from. The iifym calculator put me at 1021 calories a day.
And although I know I won't achieve a 7% BMI, I know personally when I used to be at about 17% I still had visible six pack. Not RIPPED lean six, but still very visible. And for my current goal, I am happy with that and do believe it's attainable.0
