HI, bran new here. I have been seriously exercising for 2 months. before then I did curves 3 times a week. Now I have added walking, on huge hills & hiking in the woods. I need to loose about 30 pounds. I am doing this for myself! I will be 50 this month, YIKES! and I want to be around when I someday have grand kids!
I could use some friends on this site. thanks, Shelly:glasses:

Where are you from in OR? I was born in Portland and then went to college in Ashland- I consider myself an OR girl, even though I live in NC now.0

Hello, and nice to meet you. I'm from Ohio and you wouldn't believe the hills we have out here! Two weeks ago, my husband took me cycling over one -it was closer to the size of a mountain. Well, we cycled for what seemed like 20 miles. I was so exhausted! It was just the type of fatigue my muscles needed; the pounds started rolling off my body -it was so amazing. I've been trying to squeeze cycling into my routine as much as possible since then. Usually, I get on my treadmil which has IFIT LIVE so I can catch a visual of whatever route I program into it. Right now, I'm enjoying the great outdoors. So, here's to the hills from which cometh our help! :flowerforyou:0

I currently live in Oregon (although I'm originally from Tucson, AZ).
I can't wait for some real sunny days! Right now its drizzling- as usual. Days like today just encourage me to continue to be active, even if I can't go out for a sunny run!0
