Which HRM to get?

Hi,

I've been looking into getting heart rate monitors and I was interested in getting the Polar FT100 which is great for the things I want.

I've found that I can redeem points with a rewards program I'm a part of and get the Polar RS100 HRM which is for runners. I'm not that much of a runner but do all sorts of other cardio as well. Does it matter if I get this one since it still tells me calories burned or should I stick with getting an FT model? I like the free aspect of the RS model but I want to make sure it can still be useful to me.

Polar's FT series is great! I have the FT4 and I love it! I assume the one you are getting has a chest strap. It is simple, yet accurate. It allows you to enter in all of your personal info...age, sex, height and weight to figure your target heart rate and then of course how many calories you burn. It displays calories burned, where you are in the "zone" during the exercise session, how long the exercise session lasted, and keeps track of your last 10 workout sessions so you can keep up with your progress. Mine is waterproof and I even wear it in the pool. It is the best investment I have ever made since starting this journey. I hope you enjoy yours!!
