Feeling "blah" after 5 days at the same weight

What are some things you do to bring joy back into the process when not seeing immediate results? I know it isn't unusual, but I'm stuck at 195.5. I've been watching calories more carefully (bought a scale a few days ago) and I'm revving up my elliptical workout after a bout of hip pain. I'm not in danger of stopping, but I would like to return to enjoying it more.

Lower your expectations, have patience and realize that weight loss isn't linear.0

we're almost the same weight - add me if you'd like. As far as the super-glued scale...one day at a time! I've seen my weight stay steady for days, or just this past week when I was up down up down up down....you get the picture.
What works for me is to find joy in non-weight things. Every time you choose a vegetable over candy, every time you stand up and move instead of watching tv, you are loving yourself, and you deserve to praise yourself, no matter what that number says

I understand that feeling of being motivated by your own personal progress, it's great (and then not-so-great when it seems like progress isn't being made - even though we know we can't expect progress every single day or even week!)
For when you're not seeing your weight change, you might enjoy measuring your progress in ways other than a scale. For example, keeping track of your body measurements allows you to see when you're losing inches but not pounds. Or you could find joy by celebrating meeting fitness goals - like revving up your elliptical workout is a great thing you should be proud of. You could set some specific goals (e.g. walk 10,000 steps every day, or be adventurous and try a new physical activity each month) then you can be motivated by meeting those goals.0 -

The process itself, is my joy.
watch this ted talk.

tldr:
In this TED talk, Srikumar Rao points out that anything you can get, you can just as easily “un-get”, and happiness that relies on “getting” this or “getting” that is short lived… So, instead of just focussing on that next big goal, Srikumar shares how true happiness comes when we make a commitment to the process.

I like to go back and read over my progress and relive all the past little victories and think about how far I have come and how amazed I am that I have made it this far LOL!!
I agree with the suggestion of other types of goals, like fitness goals or a step goal. I like trying to beat my best time for an activity, even if it's just by a few seconds.
Honestly my weight fluctuates so wildly and I weigh so often I have never gone 5 days at the same weight, but those are some of the things I do when I am feeling blah at the process.
