It has been about 4 months since I started my new lifestyle, and I have never had any type of assesment done. I have been doing everything at home, running, weights, and we finally broke down and purchased a gym membership and it included a free 1 hr. assesment thing with a trainer. I was so nervous, because I have no clue what I have bene doing, and if its correct, or what type of progress Ive made besides lost inches and pounds.

I have one of those fancy digital scales here at home that shows body fat %. It fluctuates everyday between 21-26% And my biggest goal was finding out how to get that lowered to anything below 20%.
Well today, the trainer did a fat test with those white pinchers! (calipers I think) and my body fat is 15.4%!!!!!!!!
I thought she did it wrong!!! She said, I was already in really good shape!!!
I am so proud of myself!! I try to make healthy choices, and I feel like I do make really healthy choices about 75-80% of the time, but I still really wasnt sure if I am really as healthy as I think I am. Turns out I am HEALTHIER than I thought!!!
And my body age is 5 years younger than my real age! She said usually people's bodies are older than their real age!!!
Just had to share my excitement somewhere!!! I was so concerned I would get depressed after meeting with her, but I am on cloud 9!!!!!!!!!

What a nice surprise! And look at those muscles in your profile pic.....you look awesome! And you did all that from home? That is really impressive. I would like to know what you did. I haven't hit any strength training yet because I have no clue where to start or what to start with.

    Thank you!!
I really had no clue where to start either! I started with Jillian Michaels 30day shred, and then after 15 days quit! But I used some of her moves that I liked. For my regular routine I do dips, pushups, plank poses, different moves with handweights to hit all the muscle groups, lunges, squats, (not all in one day, I split them up and do 3-4 days strength) and my trainer showed me what machines to use at the gym that are the best and showed me how to do them with proper form.

You may need to ditch the gym membership and continue on as you have been!
