Heard mixed opinions on water fasts, seems a bit silly to me as I don't get how eating nothing at all can be healthy but curious to any one else's experiences?

I have a great detox day:
    Lots of water
    Green veggies
    Grilled lean chicken
    One apple.

    1) there are no toxins that are lurking in your body that your body cannot dispose with normally
    2) if there are you should be at the hospital under critical care
    3) it will not hurt you to drink more fluids, if your urine is darker than pale straw
    4) do not take any knowledge of how your body works from blogs, mockumentaries, tv doctors or friends .. they all lie
    5) if you want to give your body a boost ensure you are eating your nutritional requirements across the week - enough protein, fats, wide range of brightly coloured veg, dairy, also move more and do some progressive resistance work and laugh .. laughing is good too

Drinking enough water really helps your kidneys, liver, and intestinal system do their job of removing impurities at the optimal level. Drinking more water than you need does not make them more efficient, it just makes you pee more. Drinking water only for a day or two (aka "fasting") does no real harm, but it also has no benefit either (except spiritual for those so inclined).
