That is way too much! Why are you trying to drink 4l/day?!0

And I'm wondering why you feel you need to? Yes, you should stay well hydrated so as not to confuse thirst with hunger, but that seems like a really arbitrary amount.
If your pee is dark yellow/brownish you need to drink more. If it is light (lemonade) you're good. If it looks like water/no yellow then you likely are drinking more than required.0 -
I have 3 1 liter bottles I keep in fridge. I'm actually trying to keep myself to only 4 liters. My favorite is the camelbak eddy which has a straw and is also spill proof. I have no worries about keeping it right on my desk with all my computer stuff. After awhile it becomes habit to just sip a bit between pages of a book or during a videogame. Trust me it's really not hard at all once you get in the groove0

You don't actually have to drink that much water.0

You see I hear 3 liters is pretty good and I just add 1l to make up for coffee and exero0 -
I don't think I could drink that much. I drink about 1 liter of water per day. If I don't feel thirsty or have other symptoms if dehydration I don't worry about it. You don't have to drink that much water. You can include the water in your food.0

@ashleylinkewich1 I try to go through a liter in between each meal. I usually end up at 3.5 by the end of the day. Sometimes 4...0

4L is a lot. I did that and ended up with low potassium. 2-3 liters is more like it.0

Is it? I mean I drink 1liter before exercise in order to help me go to the bathroom and 1 after. That means I'm through 2 by noon.0 -

Coffee does not dehydrate you- you can count it as part of your fluid intake.0 -
I drink close to that. I have a 24 ounce water bottle and I drink:
1 - right off the bat to rehydrate in the morning
1 - lunch
1 - over the course of the afternoon
1 - during my evening workout
1 - before bed or with dinner
If I skip the evening workout, I might only get in 4 bottles (96 ounces).0 -
Well, for the mass majority of us not in training we would not. For me about 1/2 gallon sometimes more in the summer time. The rule of water for my weight would be right around 55 - 60 ounces, according to "they" out in the world! LOL
I just fill up a gallon jug each day and drink on it but stop after around 6:00 p.m.. I also drink 2 cups of coffee in the a.m. and have at least 1 diet drink (Dr. Pepper, Mt. Dew) and I use a couple of trays of ice which I include in my water numbers.0 -
I drink a large glass of water first thing in the morning and before each meal. I also keep a 0.8L water bottle with me at work and one in gym kit. I also live in a tropical climate so that thirst comes easily!0

Dumb - don't need to drink that much water. You'll deplete your electrolytes. Veddy Bad!0
