Hi. That is an awesome amount of lost weight. How did you lose it so fast? Keep it up. You are an inspiration to the rest of us! I would really like to know how much you exercise and how many calories you use compared to what amount you're allowed. I can't seem to lose.

  • Hi from Britain,

My name is Sharon and I just signed up. I'm hoping to lose at least 15 to 20 pounds by June. It's not easy but in the past I found the best way for me to lose weight is by counting calories. I live on the east coast, in New Jersey so the weather this time of year is cold which makes it harder because all I want is comfort food. Since you have lost weight already what tips can you give me that has help you?

    Kind regards,
    Sharon

    hi all

    thanks for the support,

to answer the questions - I am on 1340 cals per day - I eat up to my calories every day - my secret is that every 4th / 5th day I eat 1800-2000 calories then back to 1340 - i had a friend who lost A LOT of weight using this technique and thought I would give it a try - it works for me

I also exercise 2 or 3 times a week (exercise DVD and playing squash with my boyfriend)

what also helps is that I don't (can't actually) Drive so I walk a lot - all I have done is increased my speed and buy a pedometer (10,000 steps a day!!!!!!)

I think the whole trick about weight loss is to keep going - I have a goal - I will be 40 in 2 years and no way am I going to be overweight

Hi Running Ratty - Today England is COLD! was blue sky and lovely in the south but up in the north and south west its snowing

    Welcome!
You are doing great! I started on here on Jan 2, and have lost 12.5lbs.
I too have about the same amount of calories each day, and may have to try that 1800-2000 trick. (though I think I did that tonight with the super bowl and all being on!)

    cheers & good luck
