So... I have been logging for about a month. I have no real changes. This sucks but won't break my spirit. I am ready to finally go see a doctor for help and guidence. I have not been to the doctor in years and do the know who to go see. Did anyone's General Practitioner help them or did you have to go to a specialist?

Sounds like Orlistat/Alli/Xenical. Here's a thread starting in November where many users related their experiences with it. Quite an interesting read, comical in places (if you weren't the one who experienced it!).

Stop consuming all Bread, Cow's Milk (use Silk Almond milk instead), and soda.

Whats your logging like? Are you using a scale, measuring cups or just eyeballing?

Do you have an appropriate deficit set? Whats your height/weight/calorie goal?

i saw a dr and what they recommended was not any different than what i found here

the main thing is to weigh everything you can with food scale. sometimes, you can't but that's ok.
a calorie deficit is a necessity to lose weight.

Print your daily logs if you can. The doctor scan through them.
Ditto for weighing things. It makes this place rock.
Any pills will only be a temporary fix.

My doc tested for thyroid issues and diabetes and offered a referral to a nutritionist.

    Some generic advice:

    Whats your height/weight/calorie goal?

Just because you're logging all your foods, doesn't mean your logging is accurate. Are you eyeballing your portion sizes or are you using a food scale? You could be eating more than you realize if you're just eyeballing portions.

Are you exercising? If so, are you eating any exercise calories back? How are you calculating your exercise burns?

I am not looking for a pI'll or quick fix. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't more I should be doing. I am uncertain if I should see a nutritionist or not. I've heard mixed reviews about it.

I have been weighing food when I can. I also have been working out (not heavily because I wanted to work my way up since I am seriously out of shape). I try not to eat calories back and have a defict. I'm just going to keep at it and if I get stuck maybe I'll check back in.
