Hello
I have been trying to see what is the recommended Calorie intake for pregnant women? I was eating 1200 Cal Per Day until I found out I was pregnant but in am unsure what to increase them too - Even thou i dont want to lose weight as such as it is not recommended but im not too sure what to increase them too as I dont want to gain either. My 1st Pregnancy I lost weigh due to severe sickness so i didnt have to track then.
I am 28 and 106.8kg and 160cm and I work in a office
If anyone knows any information that would be fantastic
Thanks in advance
Grace

Find out your TDEE through an online calculator ( you can google it) then add 300 calories. That's what most books I've read recommend.0

Talk to your OB/GYN ASAP. Recommendations such as this need to come from your specialist. Congratulations!0

I would double cgeck with your doctor or midwife, mine told me to add 300 for second and third trimester and nothing for first.0

Thanks everyone - Yes I will speak to my midwife im hoping my scan appt comes through in the next few days and until then im just making sure im making health choices0

My doc said 2000 calories is plenty for mom and baby0

How much depends entirely on your body, so we can't give you details, just general advice. I will say take the pre-natel vitamins and talk to your doctor/obgyn and discuss this with them.0
