thyroxine and weight loss??

I have no thyroid after cancer and now on thyroxine for life. I put on about 3 stone due to the cancer and finding it so difficult to lose.I just wondered if there was any more people with thyroid problems and how they lose weight?

    I'm on major doses due to Hashimoto's. I gained a lot because my levels were out of whack for a long time, but now that I'm finally regulated the weight is coming off.

    I'm on 200 mcg due to Hashimoto's. I've noticed that when I'm euthyroid I'm actually more likely to put on weight since I have the energy to actually acquire food. When I'm hypothyroid, I'm usually to tired to leave the bed. That's just me though.

    Hopefully when they have you regulated on the proper dose losing weight should come easier than during your hypothyroid times.

    If your thyroid levels are well regulated you should be able to lose with no more (or at least not significantly more) difficulty than anyone else.
