I'm looking to start a new program and would love some input! I have done Jamie Eason's 12 week Trainer with great success, and have been looking closely at Kris Gethin's 12 week HardCore Trainer as my next program...but I'm on the fence.

I have about 20lbs to lose - however, im more concerned about inches and body fat %

If anyone knows of a great program please fill me in!

*not really interested in Strong Lifts 5x5*

I would focus on strength training..........if you're in a caloric deficit and you are lifting weights almost all of your weight loss will come from fat..........if you are in a caloric deficit and all you're doing is cardio or you're not working out at all, you can expect do lose about half fat and half muscle.

caloric deficit + nothing or cardio = weight loss, skinny fat
caloric deficit + weight training = FAT loss and a fit, sexy body

    your choice :)

I loved Les Mills body combat. Lost soooo many inches. Like Figgzie said - I mostly like the power hiit dvd because of the weight lifting aspect. After I started the program using the several DVDs, I found myself only putting in the hiit dvd and increasing the weights I lifted when I was able.

Kris Gethin's and Jamie Eason's programs are for bodybuilding. They are not particularly good programs in my opinion. I would follow any proven program, like NROL4W, Stronglifts, or a good personal trainer's plan. :+1:

I'd add Strong Curves by Bret Contreras to that list, but it's a great list.
