Been too long!

So, I've been off MFP for a while now. Did the diet route, forgot the diet route, started, stopped, lost gained.... you know the vicious yo-yo. Well I have been recently diagnosed with Diabetes and it's time for serious life changes. Notice I didn't say DIET!!! I have a job where I sit on my butt for 9-10 hours, then rush home to do the wife, Mom and house stuff. That leaves little or no time to myself for anything. I often eat as I do laundry or pick up, almost never sit down and take the time to chew. Well no more! Each day I am getting better and better at doing something to improve my life in a healthy way.
So, here is to a new life style, new rules and no more DIET!!!! Just healthy eating and making a difference for my health and the health of my family!!!
Sometimes you just need to put it out there to really hear it!

    I'm sure you have meetings and appointments you would not think of being late to or missing entirely. I've started viewing my runs or workouts the same way I do any other important meeting. It gets a spot on my calendar and I show up. Some of the people around me don't want to hear it, but that is okay. If it's on my calendar, I'm doing it, whether others like it or not. Always make time for you. By doing this I am feeling more fit than ever and I really look forward to my workouts. This works for me, I hope it helps you. Good luck. Feel free to add me.
