Logging before I eat

I haven't been doing this long.I'm so addicted to logging my food first.. watching the sugars, and carbs. Don't think I can do without it now. I'm always looking at the nutrishion info on food. This is a good thing... guess what i'm trying to say is: this has changed my life in so many ways, and it's working..... next wiegh in 3 days...

I do the same thing, before lunch I have planned out my day food wise.0

I do it every morning (because I pack breakfast and lunch). If I don't eat something, I just delete it. Then, after dinner I add my workout and dinner foods. It's much easier for me than logging in every time I put something in my mouth. I'd be here all day.0

I always plan my food for the whole day. It makes me feel i control. I love MFP0

For me, this is one of the key things - I plan my meal well before I sit down to eat.
I used to eat ANYTHING I was hungry for, without a thought to what, or how much I was eating. That lifestyle is a large part of the reason I gained as much as I have. Now, KNOWING what my calorie intake has to be for the day - I can plan my day's meals around a number - and if I'm good for a day or two - I get my reward.

i log every morning while i have my coffee and oatmeal. that way i know the amount of exercise i need to get in and the amount of wiggle room i have. this also helps me from going over because i'm always aware of how many calories i have left!0

I do the same thing. While I am eating breakfast I go in and fill everything out for the rest of the day so I know what I am eating! Its a control thing!:)0

I like to look things up to decide what to eat, but I dont log them until I actually eat them, that way I stay on track with snacks, etc.0

I log mine the night before as I am packing it for the day...that being on the days that I work. I work 12 hours so I eat all of my meals and snacks for the day while at work. I LOVE being able to do that!!0

I do it too! It helps me stay focused and as I take in my lunch and snacks to work I don't cheat ...I then know exactly what I have left for the rest of the day.
Weekends...now they're another matter!0 -
Control freak here too! I log before I eat, but I often change my mind and go a different direction. I delete what I didn't eat and it helps me thry to get the right amounts of nutrients per day.0
