I love my body. All 288 pounds of it. I love the way it looks, I love all my body allows me to do and be. However I miss out on things because my body is not strong. My poor eating choices even has an impact on my mental abilities. I work smarter when I get the nutrition I need. My goal is to nourish my body and mind, and to be stronger tomorrow than I am today. Who would like to join me on this journey towards wellness? Weight loss is not the goal, even though some tell me it should be. Weight loss may be a side effect, and that's ok. I love my body at any size, and I want to reclaim my strength.

Do what makes YOU happy. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks. I don't mind how my body looks either but sadly my weight loss journey is about my health. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure a little over a year ago and the closer I'm getting to 30, the more I realize that it's just gonna get harder to lose weight and get off these meds. Good luck in your journey!!!

You can be strong and fat - think Chris Farley - but you can't be fit and fat. Being overweight is hard on the heart and knees and causes so many other problems.

Certainly nourish yourself and works towards being stronger. But it's your dr's call as to what wellness is.
