Can't wait! I'm going to stock up on food and alcohol and stay inside and have an excuse for not being anti-social for a change.

We are just on the edges of this storm in Pittsburgh, so I probably won't have to worry about being stuck at home. That said I have the next two days off of work and plan to spend tomorrow doing not much of anything. And yes there is food here.

Good time to make a huge pot of soup loaded with veggies. Low enough cal that you can eat lots of it in between going out to shovel to keep warm, hydrated and feeling full. :)

    Stay safe out there!

Took my own advice. Made a huge pot of soup. Now I have lunch for work for the next week, ready to go. Haven't done anything all day except read and watch tv. Makes my calorie allowance sad but hey I am doing okay so far. We have snow falling and the local news is going on like we are getting the blizzard that those south of us are actually dealing with. I mean yeah roads aren't great right now but they really do make mountains out of molehills.

I'm right there with you! I've been racking my brain on things to stay active and stay away from the cabinets and fridge. So far I've been looking up exercises and doing some online window shopping for workout clothes. And just reinforcing that I am doing this for a reason and the want to eat is just that. It is a want and not a need. I am not really hungry. Must...keep....repeating...to...myself! Stay warm and stay safe (and away from the foodssss)

I'm planning on doing some winter cleaning and watch some movies. Keeping myself as busy as possible.

Ha! I lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years...The newscasters do LURVE their stormporn there! And I've seen the aisles of Giant Eagle stripped bare with a storm impending.

I love being cosy inside watching a storm but all that swirly snow does make me hungry. Enjoy and be safe everybody. My thoughts are with any of you who have to commute to serve the public in this mess...

On;y about 4 inches this morning but the roads are a disaster. I really feel for the people who have been stranded all night on the PA Turnpike. Why do people drive when storms like this happen? It isn't like they had no warning.

I did wind up going over last night by about 400 calories but still at a good deficit so I'm happy with that. On a work day my allowance is around 2300 so it is really hard to cut down to 1600 on a sedentary day.

I'm excited! I have subs, leftover pizza from last night and steaks to cook tonight.

Hint: Shoveling and PLAYING in the snow is great exercise. I plan on doing alot of both.

Bleh. I got the whiskey and drank last night but today I have to take the subway back to my apartment in Brooklyn. I'm a little nervous to go out there!

I'm amazed we haven't lost power so far. The snow is just about level with the height of our propane bbq grill, and is still coming down hard.

Well... got out of shoveling. A local kid was out trying to earn some money and I really like to encourage that kind of work ethic in young people. So I shoveled for about 15 minutes and then he took over. A part of me is sad about the loss of potential eating calories but not happy about not having a sore back. Roads are terrible but snow here is winding down.

Turn on some fitness videos from YouTube and sweat it out in the living room! Maybe do some living room yoga? You can still get your burn in!

I get plenty of burn the rest of the week. A whole day to rest and not do anything is rare and appreciated in my life. Lack of exercise has not been a problem for me. I did shovel a little before the boy and his dad came along. :)

16 inches shoveled in 90 minutes. I'm guessing another 8 to 12 to shovel tomorrow. Strength plus cardio, done.

I'm in NC. Spent yesterday stuck indoors minus one trip to the grocery store, but managed to do my 10K steps - love the open floor plan. Also managed not to eat everything I owned. And I resisted texting the woman in the subdivision who had her daughter's Girl Scout Cookies and was delivering them to your door. At work tonight, survived the drive - they really don't know how to plow in this state. We're not too busy, so I can do some laps and work on my steps. Hoping all of the day shift makes the drive in. I'm a transplanted NYer and feel bad that the Northeast got much more than we did.
