warm, hearty breakfasts with protein

I've been eating instant oatmeal for breakfast (plain kind with no sugar, made with almond milk and topped with fresh berries), and adding peanut butter for what I thought would be a lot of protein. Turns out it's not that much (7g or so), and I'm not sure it's worth the extra fat and calories.

Anyone have a quick, warm, weekday breakfast that sticks with you? It's very cold where I live and I have to be at work early, so quick and warm are key!

Thanks so much.

Sometimes I chop up a bunch of veggies and throw them in a baking pan, and then fill it with egg whites and bake it. Then I just cut a slice and warm it up for breakfast.

Also, I sometimes make oatmeal too, and I'll stir in a scoop of my favorite protein powder. Gives it protein and a little flavor. :D

Fat is generally satiating....so that's a good thing.

Eggs are great for protein. Perhaps breakfast burritos or egg muffins.

2 eggs + 1 veggie sausage + 1 slice wheat toast, all sprinkled with cheese

30g protein, 377 calories. Add in another sausage for an extra 10g.

Some people add a couple egg whites to their oatmeal

Most days I eat some microwaved scrambled eggs along with a carb item - could be toast, English muffin, sweet or white potato, corn tortillas or tostadas, etc. I sometimes add some kind of meat. Sometimes a chicken sausage or a couple small link sausages or just leftover meat from dinner. This morning I had a small chunk of pot roast with eggs and laughing cow cheese piled onto a sweet potato. Good protein and carbs and fat. Filling.

I often add a scoop of protein powder to my oatmeal (before Its cooked).
I have also wisked some into a raw egg then microwaved for a min or so then top with fruit
    Both quick and easy

Try rolled oats or steel cut oats. :)
Instant oats are not hearty at all and kind of weird.

^^and a lot of things in it (sodium, sugar) that you can eliminate by making it yourself. Made from scratch tastes better and is better for you. There are a lot of recipes for overnight oatmeal that you can Google. The possibilities are endless. Also add chia seeds and ground flax for more protein.

I love leftovers for breakfast. This morning I had leftover bean chilli with a sprinkle of parmesan - yum!

Otherwise lately I've been making giant stir fries for breakfast. Frozen stir fry vegetable blend, broccoli slaw, and whatever other veggies I feel like cutting up, cooked in the wok until almost done, then I add two whisked eggs, mix everything up, and cook until the eggs are done. I season it with rice vinegar, a bit of soy sauce, and lots of sriracha and can cook it while doing other stuff in the kitchen like unloading the dishwasher.

I make a crustless quiche 1-2x a week as a quick grab breakfast for me & my husband. Each portion is 250-300 cals each depending on what I put in it & we usually put it on a light English muffin.
