Hello friends. Im Sara. Ive just joined and am eager to start my journey here at myfitnesspal. I have a question. Why is it even though I cut calories, I cannot seem to "lose" much weight? What am I doing wrong?

    Welcome Sara!! It is not just about calories. How much fat, sugar and sodium are you consuming? Are you drinking enough water? Are you exercising? There are many things to consider.

    Hi Sarah! Welcome to this lovely site. This is one of the best places to come to besides having a nutrionist and personal trainer. Im fairly new here also. I signed up in January, but didnt actually start using this site actively until 2 wks ago. Its amazing what can happen in two weeks.

    As far as why you arent losing weight.. Well there are a multitude or reasons. Is your food diary public? Id love to see what you are eating.

    It also depends on what food, how you are eating it. When you are eating. Are you exercising? Are you exercising too little or too much? Have you gained muscle/lost inches but not lost weight?

    Welcome. Eat healthy and follow the calorie guidelines and the weight will come off. Don't plan on losing more than 1 lb a week - and it's not going to happen every week. Take it slow and steady and it will happen for you!

  • I just filled out my food and calorie count of the day, and its amazing how fast you can meet your target..and go over. I think tracking might help for me. Thanks for the comments! You inspire me.
