Exercise with the snow

Woke up to about one foot of snow, which was in conflict with my desire to walk for 30 minutes each day. What I did was to map out a route inside my house. I started down the long hallway to the bedrooms, cut to the kitchen, around the butcher block table in the center of the kitchen heading back the way I came, back down the hallway, through the living and dining rooms, to the kitchen again, back around the butcher block table heading back the other way, and around and around. It takes about 2 labs per minute, so that's 60 laps for the 30 minutes, and 172 calories burned. And no snow on my boots.

That's awesome! What a great alternative! Tomorrow It will snow in NY and the apartments here are famously small. So I will walk up and down my building's stairs. Wish me luck!0
