I've tried a few different sites, and entered in the same info regarding me looking to loose about 10 pounds.
Ive gotten calorie deficit info ranging from 1500 - 1900s. Most people recommend to take an average but that is a drastic gap.
Sites like IIFYM, scoobydoo calculator will recommend about 1500-1600 whereas some other sites will recommend 1700 +
Does anyone know why this is? Is IIFYM for instance geared towards body composition competitors? Any advice will help
Im 5'6, weighing 154 looking to lose about 10 pounds..
Thanks!

Different input and calculations probably
Scooby is quite reliable if you set your activity properly
MFP will give you a count excluding exercise and including required rate of loss
The stats you haven't provided in your op are
Age
Gender
Activity rate? Which is daily life excluding purposeful exercise
Exercise? What type, how frequently per week and how intensely0 -
Insufficient data. Specify age, height, weight, and percent Body Fat, along with Goal/s.0

Hey sorry totally forgot
24,female, and I'm active moderately 3-4x a week strength training with cardio , or hiit once a week. My daily routine is sedentary. Thanks for the advice ! Sorry I should edit ... Scoobydoo is giving me a rate in the 1800s whereas IIFYM is giving a rate in the 1500s0 -
Why not try 1650 and see what that is like? You can always adjust later.0

Try one or the other. If you aren't losing at the expected rate after 4-6 weeks look at your data on MFP a d extrapolate your TDEE from there.
IIFYM works perfectly for me, but I know a lot of people who find Scooby's more accurate.
Cheers, h.0
