When I want soups to feel fuller longer, I usually bulk mine out with chickpeas and other legumes. You could try cous cousin or wholegrain pasta or brown rice. Quinoa is great to use.0

I like to roast cauliflower and broccoli with a little thai curry paste, then blend it with chicken or vegetable stock.... it's delicious, filling and very low cal.0

I find adding a little spice to soups makes me feel full faster. This spicy vegetable soup is great. I have used turkey and beans for the beef all have been great. You can even substitute chopped mushrooms for half the beef. I have made it low sodium too by using 2 cans of no salt added Italian tomatoes pureed for the pasta sauce and no salt added beef broth instead of water and bouillon cube. Very filling soup. soupspiceeverythingnice.blogspot.com/2012/10/spicy-beef-vegetable-soup.html

I love this one. It's very hearty. I used tinned brown lentils (rather than dried) and cook it slowly on the stovetop for a few hours. It gets beautifully thick. Last time I cooked it I had lots of mushrooms in the fridge and I quickly pureed them in the blender and threw them in too.

Black Bean Chipotle soup, it's tasty, filling and cheap. I make with two cans of beans rather than one but still only makes two portions

I came across this recipe recently, and my husband and I love it. I use low-sodium chicken broth and don't add salt. My husband, who would put salt on a Saltine cracker, felt it didn't need any additional salt. I added a fresh jalapeno pepper, minced, and it was just the right amount of heat. My college senior, who couldn't boil water just a short time ago, made it over the weekend and LOVED it. Highly recommended. http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/spicy-chicken-rice-soup0
