22 years old, at 130 lbs, but I'd like to get to 105-110. Eventually would like to do free weights but I'm a tad intimidated.

Currently breastfeeding, with a 6 month old, and a job. My husband is away because of the military, so between work and the baby I'm usually pretty tired. Lol. Trying to get back out there slowly, starting with diet, then exercise, and when I'm confident enough, weights.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Thanks! I underestimated how hard it would be to get back up and moving and back into it after 9 months of sitting on my butt lol

I'm in the same boat with a new baby! I was training before I got pregnant and morning sickness put a stop to that during. I've got to get in control before the nursing stops or I feel like I'm screwed.

Welcome to MFP! And welcome to motherhood! Being a mommy is the best but pregnancy sure does a number on our bodies! Ha! I'm a mom of 4 and down 45 lbs so far - working towards another 30! Add me as a friend if you want.

The nursing helps :) I had my first baby at 22 too - it's kinda nice now that I'm 36 and my two kids are in their teens. It's so much easier when they get older! Congrats on the new baby.

just be careful - you do need enough calories to feed baby as well. With Baby #2, I couldn't quite get up the motivation to eat healthy. When he was about 16 months or so, I started getting sick all the time. Every time I turned around, I had another cold. Eventually I realized I just wasn't eating enough nutrients for both of us - and he was taking it all (I did eat enough junk though). I decided to wean him and after that, I was back to my normal, healthy self. So pay attention to those calorie counts. Make sure you eat enough nutritious food for both of you.

Have you looked into Mom/Baby workouts? There are some neat ones on Youtube. I also got together with other moms for weekly strollercises.

Hi! I'm Kelly. I'm 28 and had my son when I was 19. I lost the baby weight, then gained it all back (plus more!), lost some more, and now I'm working towards getting back to where I started. Add me if you'd like! I always need some new friends to help keep me motivated :)

Yeah, I am trying so hard to eat healthy. It's been .challenge. it's so much faster to grab some junk , it's the taking time out to cook when I'm so tired.
