I have this problem now that if I weigh myself and if it says I lost more than 2 pounds in a week I dont want to record it. I'm afraid that i will gain weight the next week then It's so frusturating.

I weigh myself every morning. I write down my weight on a piece of paper in the bathroom (I like to keep track), but only log my Friday weight. If it goes up--i log it, if it goes down I log it and then do a happy dance!0

I also weigh daily, keeps me "aware" - but only record on Fridays if a pound is lost - if I gain more than 1 pound, I'd record it - but water retention etc can cause a pound or two. Main thing is - you will lose if you use this site, I think.0

Don't stress yourself so. If you don't want to record it that is fine, but if you do record it, than you don't have an excuse to cheat or something to that effect. It will help keep you pushing it to the next level. My weight fluctuates bad, but I always put my lowest in MFP because it helps me to see, this was what I was at the other day, now it's time to working to get back there or down more. If you are just beginning your weightloss journey, you will lose more than 2 pounds a week and it can stay off as long as you continue to eat healthier choices, count your calories and workout.0

I used to weigh daily, but now I usually only record on Saturdays. but, if on Saturday I see I gained more than 2 pounds it makes me weird and I feel like its not correct or something0

I weigh daily and log it in an app for my phone (Simple Weight Recorder for Android). I log it on MFP once a week or so, sometimes longer. If it is stressing you out, log it in MFP once every couple of weeks or once every month. You will see much less fluctuation that way.0

It can be water weight, you may have had to much salt the day before, different things cause your weight to go up. Don't get discouraged, if there is any loss at all you are doing great. We can't always lose two pounds a week.0 -

Not sure if this is the same, but when I was steadily losing weight and even now that I'm struggling with the last bit, this is what I go through:
If I have a loss, I suddenly become really aware that weight fluctuates due to all sorts of factors and I tell myself that this is just a random "down-flux" and then I think I probably shouldn't record it because next time I'll probably be on an "up-flux" (which I illogically feel like must be more accurate) and don't want to be disappointed when that happens.
But I just go ahead and record my weight at every planned weigh-in anyway (once a week or less often) and pay more attention to the trend than the specific numbers. Some weeks are up and some weeks are down, but I can't argue if over a period of months the line on the graph is going down.
HTH and good luck!

I think that's pretty normal, at least it is for me. I only log when I lose. I may gain or lose those couple pounds again over the next week(s) but as long as I'm not gaining significantly I just wait till I lose again and then log that.0
