Here's one I've never heard before...impact calories?

I was talking to a friend of mine who said she can't have a beer because she's in a prep phase. We got to talking about her diet plan and her gym coach has it all laid out for her. She's 24, about 5'2" and I'd guess around 120lbs. He has her doing fasted cardio 3 mornings a week, lifting pretty hard 6 nights a week, and eating 1400 calories a day. He says these are all "impact calories" which means they go directly to muscle gain while she's burning fat. Obviously I know this isn't true, but has anyone heard the term "impact calories" before? It must have been on the internet somewhere...
I'm sure some of you can relate, but holy damn is it hard to read that and not text back "your coach has no idea what he's talking about"!

You could send her this:
But on second thought, if she's happy with her plan...

I'm not familiar with the term, but have read that drinking alcohol while in ketosis on a high-protein, low-carb, low-fat diet prevents the body from burning fat. It also causes people to become intoxicated more quickly. On an extreme diet such as a PSMF alcohol is not permitted.
Fasted exercise is supposed to burn a bit more fat.0 -
That sounds AWFUL. I could never sustain that kind of working out on that few calories!0

It just amazes me what people teach, and since he's a nutritionist at a gym his word is 100% truth. Very frustrating.0

I want to be shocked but I keep looking back to all the things I used to believe, too. It's scary. *shudders*0 -
Only ever heard the term used in competition body building (ex husband was into it). I don't think it's at all useful if you're just trying to get fit.0

It very well could be a competition term I haven't heard before. That would make sense considering she claims it to be a prep.0 -
Sounds like hocus pocus to me. Yep, I would run!0
