I've done a Whole30 in the past but would caution against the program. Much of the "science" they explain in the book, It Starts With Food, is unsubstantiated. I reviewed some of the citations they provided to see if they were being honest in their interpretation of the scientific literature.

The results: a majority of the cited claims were either misleading or false (links below).

I've never done a proper whole 30 - I think if you are going paleo, or even just wanting to kick some eating habits it can be beneficial with that. When I had a go at something similar to a month of whole food, I also lost 5kgs and have successfully kept it off :)

I've been doing it and its worked like a charm for me. I dropped 15 lbs the first time and have dropped 10 lbs halfway through my 2nd go around. Its the only thing that has worked reliably for me in dropping and keeping off weight.

Just completed day 11 of my first Whole 30, and really enjoying it. I'm already beginning to view food in a healthier way, and feeling more energetic and healthy. Planning and preparation are the keys to a successful Whole 30, and can be fun as well.

Is it possible to do an almost perfect whole 30, like with coffee included? (With a tiny drop of milk?)
