Mine doesn't really respond or get better with diet changes. I have to use meds all the time. its very frustrating.

Many people suffer along with you. You could open your diary so others could look and spot anything that could be causing it that you might not be aware of.

It's stress and fried foods that has always set mine off. Haven't had much of a problem since I started eating in a manner that helps me lose and that is healthier for me. Also, being retired from teaching (Biology of all things, should have figured this out much sooner!) helps! :|

I have ibs-d and Crohn's and can't eat "healthy" at all. The only fruit and veggies I can handle are bananas, mushy well cooked potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots and apple sauce. I'm also low residue, low fibre so only white bread, white rice and white pasta. I also can't eat nuts, seeds, legumes, red meat, pork and spices. So yes, I basically live on white carbs, chicken and fish, eggs, cheese and Greek yogurt (if I take lactose pill), peanut butter (smooth) and pureed food lol.

Mine is stress related. Although, I do have triggering foods I avoid too. Some days though it doesn't matter what I eat.

I can't really make the distinction between Crohn's and IBS triggers for me but most of it was trial and error, dietician's advice and research on the common triggers. I do test some things every once in a while if I have nothing planned the next day.

Though it's odd. There are some foods that are generally OK like eggs but if I'm in a major flare they are a no no. Even water is bad at times. I'm pretty sure that is my Crohn's though. I was hospitalized for 34 days for my Crohn's last year on tpn (nutrition through a picc line) and was on clear fluids by mouth (jello, water, apple juice, broth) and I was still going 30 times a day
