Hello all
I'm considering going vegan, and wondered if anyone has any yummy nut free recipes??
Also, do you struggle to meet your calorie goal, (as fruits and veggies are not very calorie dense) how do you hit it everyday?

Most fruits and vegetables aren't very calorie dense (you can always find some like coconut, avocado, potatoes, etc). But vegans also eat beans, grains (including flours and pasta), calorie-dense sweeteners like sugar and maple syrup, and plant oils (like olive, canola, and flax oil). Vegans have no problem getting sufficient calories.
The 41 pounds I lost on MFP, I gained them as a vegan (lost them as a vegan too).0 -
I've been vegan for a very long time. I don't have any difficulties hitting calories or macros, but it comes down to trial/error, and adding in calorie dense foods.
My favorite recipe site is http://vegweb.com/
janejellyroll has given some great advice for calorie dense foods and gives fantastic advice so well worth a listen to what they say.0 -
Thankyou for the help guys!0
