Anyone use it to jumpstart weight loss? And if so how much did you lose?

Never used it. I read up on it and found out it's all made-up hogwash. Useless.

How about trying the MFP way? Log your food for a week, just the way you eat now, and see what MFP tells you.

    Yes, tried it years ago.
Not worth it. Its a stupid starvation fad diet with many different names and not endorsed by the military.

If you cannot sustain it for the rest of your life, it won't help you.

Go the MFP way. Sensible. Sustainable.

Hogwash indeed. And dangerously unhealthy. Good rule of thumb, if someone is selling you the idea they can make you lose weight in a specific amount of time: the cake is a lie.

The military diet gives you a 3-day menu of about 1200 calories a day, and tell you to choose your own 1500 calories for the other 4 days of the week. I say, why not choose your own calories for all 7 days, and eat what you enjoy? It will amount to exactly the same thing. And then throw in a little extra activity if you don't already, for the sake of your heart and other muscles.

I did the military diet shortly after graduating high school...IDK, maybe things have changed...that was over 20 years ago...

Any diet that needs to have a fake connection to something reputable in its name in order to gain legitimacy is not worth your time or attention.
