I was in Ms. Buchko's 11th grade American history class. We had a sub that day. Some of the classes had gathered to watch the launch, but ours was not one of them. I was writing a letter to a pen pal when the announcement came over the P.A. system. I never finished the letter.0

3rd grade, but I don't remember watching it in school. I remember seeing it all over the news that night though. I still have the front page of the newspaper from the day after.0

I was only 3, so obviously I don't remember, but I do remember talking about it later in school as I got older. Such a tragedy, and I can only imagine what that must have been like watching live.0
