Hello everyone!

I used this site back in 2010-2011 and it helped me keep track of my food and motivate me, not to mention it helped me lose 20+lbs.

Overall weight loss has been part of my life. at age 20 I weighed 198lbs, and after 2.5ish years I got down to 135!! MFP helped me go from 155ish to 135ish. After my success I started Grad school, and maintained it for the most part. However after I started working in my chosen profession I ballooned up D:... I refused to weigh myself and that did not help. I still dont tell my loved ones what I weight because they seem to want to criticize instead of encourage. Anyhoo, I am back up to 160. My biggest issue is with food, I like to bake, cook and experiment with new foods. Not to mention I live in NYC so there are so MANY good restaurants to eat out at.

I hope to connect with others to stay motivated! please add me!

What exercises do you all like to do?

Currently I'm doing two Jillian DVDs
30 day shred before work
and 90 day body revolution after work.

Hello! I love to bake as well. Cinnamon rolls and cookies for the kiddos aren't good for my weight..lol. Feel free to add me. :)

Well you are a nice mom Klanlgydoula, I rarely would bake for my daughter because it is too hard. I would get my daughter cookies that I don't like, haha.. but now she is modelling there are no cookies needed, thank goodness!
LunaLatte, I totally get where you are at. I too when through periods of time where I wouldn't weigh myself!! I lost just over 35lb's on mfp. Actually more, but that is where I stand right now because I moved countries and just ignored the scales for a year! Back to it and have 17lb's to go.. but the more I have gotten into exercise and outdoor activities the more I want to eat healthily. I have pretty much stopped drinking alcohol because that is my trigger, and I think of the whole thing now as a journey not a destination. The worst thing you can do is beat yourself up. I have really learnt a lot about that inner voice and learning to shut it down when it is mean and try and allow only kindness! I think people who struggle with weight are often very hard on themselves and that is where it ends up being self destructive. I only have one mfp friend so please add me!! Cheers!!!

Thanks for the replies! I'm happy to be getting support! Baking is relaxing for me, which I think I might go towards especially after a stressful week. And then the cookies, cupcakes, cakes, Smores pies (yes and OMG is it so bad and delicious) are so good that one bite turns into half the plate being eaten.

I also think being positive regarding my weight is something I continue to work on. I'm trying, right? That's what I keep telling myself.

Being positive is probably the best thing you can do for yourself. I also love to cook and have been trying about a zillion new recipes. I just started with MFP so I'm collecting new recipes and immediately entering them into MFP so I'll have them for later. So far it's working out really well.

I know if we both stick with it we can reach our goals!
