Weight loss weekly target?

Hey guys, having a bit of a debate with myself. Lol. Initially my loss was great at 1200 cals a day. Now it's slowed. To like 1lb a week even though I should be losing 2lbs a week. I know it's still a loss. And that's great. But do I alter my settings which would then give me 1350 a day to lose 1lb a week.... Is it possible to lose more than 1lb a week on that? I have 11lbs to lose thanks

MFP will not give goals below 1200 calories. For you to want to lose 2 pounds a week, you would have to eat 850 calories which is absolutely NOT recommended. In fact, with 11 pounds to lose you should be aiming for a half pound a week to preserve muscle.

Hi, I've altered my settings to 1lb a week which now gives me 1350 - will see how that goes. Thanks

This. Even 1lb a week can be aggressive. If you're not losing at 1200, upping it to 1350 isn't going to change that you're not losing. In fact, you might stop completely because you're probably eating more than you think, which is horribly common here when people aren't using food scales.

Not to mention that weightloss is not linear. You will see it slow down. There's nothing that can be done about it that is healthy.

I have been on 1350 since and feel it has given me the opportunity for an extra snack, which psychologically has helped. My weight loss kick started too and I've lost another couple of pounds
