I was thinking about stopping dairy completely from diet to see if that will boost my weight loss stall. Any input would be really appreciated. I am not a fan of milk I don't drink it but I'm addicted to cheese dos topping it is not going to be easy but if I know this will help get me to my goal I will definitely give it up

Why? Nothing unhealthy about dairy as long as it fits your calories.0

If dairy is a trigger that causes you to over eat then, yes, eliminate it. If you can eat dairy and stay within your calorie goals, then eliminating it will not help.
I no longer keep ice cream at home because I know that I will eat too much of it. I still have ice cream, just not at home.
Hope this helps. Good luck.0 -
I mean...you might not be able to eat 600+ calories of cheese dip per day and get to goal. Mainly because you'd be hungry if you were to keep your deficit and have that much. You need to practice portion control. Get a food scale and weigh out a serving that fits in your day. Or say goodbye to it for a week or two while you get your ducks in a row. Weight loss comes down to calories in vs calories out, consuming less calories than you burn.0

I've cut some dairy because I think I have a food sensitivity to it. I didn't drink milk for a long time, then when I had a glass of milk, it really wrecked my tummy. I don't experience the same with aged cheeses or heavy cream. And it's really difficult for me to walk away from those, so I limit the cheese to 2-4 oz. per day, and heavy cream to 1-2 T with my coffee in the morning. But I plan to stop all dairy for a few weeks just to see if it helps me with inflammation issues. I'm going to increase fats with avocado, EVOO, fatty cold water fish, and organic coconut fat, so that I don't crave the missing dairy fat.0

Totally with you on this... just starting out and avoiding the few trigger foods... for me it is PB.0 -

Weight loss is about calories in calories out. It has nothing to do with dairy. Improve on your logging accuracy and make sure you weigh everything. If you still don't lose after 3 weeks or so, lower your calories slightly.0

I've tried to give up dairy before and it caused me a lot of stress. Right now I'm working on reducing saturated fat, and part of how I accomplish that is eating less cheese. Approaching it from this angle works much better for me psychologically. It's a game to keep that sat fat number in the green, rather than feeling deprived that I can't have any cheese.
However, cheese isn't a trigger food for me like M&Ms. Those I just don't keep in the house.0 -
Great thank you all for the advice0
