When I was a kid, they had a legit penny candy store. The different flavors of tootsie rolls, sour patch kids, gummy bears and such were all a penny each. A-treat soda was 35 cents for a 20oz bottle...and this was only 20 years ago or so...

This is his old I am! When I was in Jr High the Shamrock gas station still had the bottle Coke machine for ten cents!
