I have been on MFP for 46 days now. I have been counting my calories intake and been doing exercise regularly. My calory intake as been between 1500 to 2000 per day. My exercise as been with active calories of 250 up to a 1000 calories. I have gain muscles but did not lose not even a kilo. I also have been doing the fasting program were you only eat between 12 noon and 8 evening. My wife and family is pretty impressed that I haven't lost not even a kilo even dow I eat such low calories. I also check my carb intake to make sure its on the low side. I don't have hormone issues like some suggested. Is this normal? as I read that people have lost kilos in a couple of week following a low calorie diet. Every day when I complete my daily food entry it says if everyday would be like this that I would weight 78 kilos in 5 weeks. Well its been 46 days and I haven't lost one kilo. A couple of days ago I fasted for one day and my waist as shrunk a bit my weight as not.

What exercise are you doing to burn 1000 calories?

Are you weighing your food on a food scale?

Just to note, you have not gained muscle if you're eating at a calorie deficit; the body doesn't work that way. In order to gain muscle you must be eating at a caloric surplus. If you're eating your exercise calories back, that's part of the problem since your burns seem inflated. Also, if you're not weighing your food with a food scale, you're eating more than you think. Normally I would tell people to wait it out a bit, but nothing lost after 46 days means you're eating at maintenance or at a surplus if you've gained anything.

Don't listen to this crappy advice. There is no man, aside from a resident of Lilliput, that should only consume 1000 calories per day.

Ignore this advice. You shouldn't go below 1500.

DO NOT DO THIS! DO NOT FOLLOW what @cujodog just stated above.

OP, you stated you eat between 1500 - 2000 calories a day. What is the MFP exact goal setup for you eat a day?

I am asking because the difference between 1500 - 2000 is 500 calories a day and would like to know the number of calories MFP has which includes the deficit.. This can be a huge deal keeping you in or out of your deficit each day.

The next question is, are these calories you mentioned include eating back exercise calories or not? If so, still there is 250 calories approx. that can be questioned if you are staying in a calorie deficit or not..

The best exact advice is to follow the flow chart above, there is 100% guarantee if you follow the flow chart and use that FOOD SCALE and eat what MFP tells you to eat each day you will loose weight.
