Egg size does it really matter?

My breakfast basically consists of one egg scrambled wrapped in one piece of whole wheat bread around 7am while driving to work. This gets me through till a mid morning snack at 10am. I am trying to stay on a strict diet of 1200 calories a day. Is it better for me to get the large eggs or the small eggs? Perhaps I'm over thinking it. Thoughts?

Calories count. Larger eggs more calories and smaller ones less calroies. CICO0

You are overthinking it. Buy what eggs you want and count the calories for whatever eggs you use. Large are the most commonly produced so they tend to be the cheapest, easiest available, and recipes are designed around large eggs.0

Just log whatever eggs you get...obviously the larger the egg, the more calories it would have...but differences are pretty negligible...just log whatever it is you're actually eating...and yes...overthinking.0

eggs, whole, raw 100gr = 147cal
I use medium brown eggs which average 50gr (yoke & white, no shell), so each egg is about 74cals.
Modern Sizes (USA) Size Mass per egg Calories
Jumbo - Greater than 2.5 oz. or 70.9 g - 102 cal
Very Large or Extra-Large (XL) - Greater than 2.25 oz. or 63.8 g - 94 cal
Large (L) - Greater than 2 oz. or 56.7 g - 83 cal
Medium (M) - Greater than 1.75 oz. or 49.6 g - 74 cal
Small (S) - Greater than 1.5 oz. or 42.5 g - 63 cal
Peewee - Greater than 1.25 oz. or 35.4 g - 51 cal0 -
Thanks all. I've just really started to see a difference in the weight and I don't want to sabotage myself. However, I switch from large to small and have noticed a difference in the hunger between breakfast and mid morning snack. When you are talking a difference of a few grams between each size I was having a difficult time finding which was better.0

Eggs are good for you. I would say go for cage-free, go larger and/or have two! You might not need that mid-morning snack.0
