I am quite the slow poke at entering my food; any tips for minimizing the time drain?

Just think of it as a few less minutes on Facebook.

You'll get quicker once you have your regular food items in Most Recent.

I'm ashamed to admit I often eat the same things I ate last week, just so I don't have to figure out how to enter it. Oh look! 2 oz of boneless skinless chicken breast for lunch. Again!

Once you get the recipes you cook most often set up in recipes and special things set up in My Foods, plus the regular stuff in Most Recent, it goes a lot faster.

    This,

And if there are meals you repeat (or even combinations of a few items that you put together frequently as part of a meal), save them as meals so you can re-use them easily.

If using web/desktop MFP, exploit the fact that you can check items on any of the tabs (meals, recent, recipes, etc.) before clicking "add checked items".

If using phone (Android at least) MFP, exploit the fact that "yesterday's (whatever meal you're working on)" shows up under "meals" when adding food, and use "move to" (on long press of an item) to move items to a different meal of the day you're working on, if you repeat things, but at different meals. And remember you can use short-press on an item (maybe one you've copied) to change the quantity.

    You'll get quicker.

Thanks for all the tips! Entering my food has also made me aware of how indecisive I am in this arena, as well as my tendency to keep adding items to my recipe or meal.

And I forgot to mention (desktop/web browser version) the "copy from date" "copy to date" for whole meals, under the "quick tools" link. That's a good one I don't remember to use often enough.
