what are you craving? Everything in small amounts is fine, don't torture yourself. Sit down and enjoy a small bit of what you're craving and let it pass. You can have a piece of chocolate but not the whole bar, you know?
  • Thanks really helpful tip thanks so much.

I try to find a small alternative with less calories for what I am craving. I have started to notice that my cravings become healthier as I appreciate better food. I crave chocolate or ice cream, so I find low cal, high protein, popsicle bars that I save calories for. If I must, I will eat a little piece of chocolate and count the calories. I have found myself craving pecans, so I add them to oatmeal, etc. If I just crave sweets, I go for fruit. I make turkey chili as a goto lunch and I crave lime chips or fritos with it, so I weigh out 1 Oz in a zip baggie and limit it to one portion, counting the calories within my limit. It helps me to not feel deprived and my food choices have become a lifestyle. Hang in there. This isn't a short term thing, it's a lifestyle change.

What are you craving? And how are you approaching dieting?
