First of all, its great youre motivated to work out! Honestly it depends on your goals. If its weight loss/muscle gain/etc diet is more important but generally, cardio and weight training is good for overall health. I would focus on slowly incorporating HIIT and long distance cardio + low weights. HIIT is just any sudden high intensity workouts that last 30 seconds then move to slowed down movements, and then back to high intensity at different variables. Its GREAT for fat loss. Doing 10 minutes a day will do wonders and its great because it can be done in short circuits. There are many ideas of HIIT on YouTube videos or you can do it on the treadmill/any cardio machines. Then theres long distance cardio. Low intensity but longer times. This helps with endurance of handling working out in longer intervals. You could do this by simply walking/jogging for 30-60 minutes. It helps build stamina.
For weights, start low. Good form and the quality of the weight training is more important than the amount of weight you're lifting. If youre confused on how much weight you should be lifting for upper/lower body exercises, do weights that are hard to continue lifting after lifting them about 10 times/reps. Like for me, I can deadlift 100 pounds and at first it's somewhat easy until I have gone up and down 10 times. Then its discipline and motivation that pushes me through the rest.
If youre still not convinced, find a qualified personal trainer who can help. I personally had help from a workout plan from a personal trainer which costed me $15.
Hope this helps!0 -
