Help me get these unnecessary 30 pounds off!

5'5 and 160 pounds, not okay. :( I need all the motivation and encouragement I can get. I have some health issues so exercising is a struggle. Please share some tips and tricks on low impact exercises and practical meal plans.

Walking is great. Using a pedometer is helpful in logging. I do walking for 45 min. daily plus 25 squats. I also make sure to log 10k steps (just walking from room to room can add several thousand if you're in the mood to just relax but still want to burn calories). I eat 1000 to 1200 daily. I don't freak out about reaching 1200 if I'm full. There are plenty of days 1200 will be reached. I also do intermittent fasting, where I don't eat 20 hours and eat 4. I fast from 10pm to 6pm the next day then eat 6pm to 10pm. It keeps me focused and has helped me feel excellent. I won't do strenuous exercise yet because I know I am best with following my body's lead. Then, I'll often wind up doing more as time progresses automatically.

I have similar stats to you. I started at 158 and I'm 5'4". I want to get back to 134. The best thing I ever did was get a fitbit. Makes getting your 10,000 a day addictive. So agree with the above poster!!

I'm also close to your stats. 5' 6" & 165lbs. I try to make most meals consist of a lean protein & a fruit or veggie.

Walking is a good, low impact form of exercise, as others have said. My husband and I will go strolling in the evenings sometimes. It's nice because we're moving & talking & really connecting with each other. Biking and swimming are good options too.

    Good luck!

Swimming is an amazing low impact excercise! Could you do that? Also, eat little, often and log honestly! You will get there, I'm sure
