Perks of getting older...

There's not many, BUT....
My clothes don't have to be designer anything.
I'm perfectly fine going out without my hair done or makeup on. (Maybe should reconsider though)
If I like ya, I won't die of embarrassment if you know it.
It won't keep me up at night if you don't like me.
And I'm perfectly content with my own company.
What do you like about being older?

I am enjoying the age I am now, because im still young enough to have fun, but old enough that ive been around the block and learned a little. Getting older doesnt bother or scare me...I just think of all the things I will learn everyday and the fun I will have on my way to getting "old".0

I get to have grey hair AND acne, at the same time! :drinker:
Oh. Wait. :ohwell:0 -
I'm not really old.. (21) but something I love about not being in high school is that I feel more comfortable expressing my personal fashion taste and don't feel like I have to conform to certain styles to fit in. Also I like that I'm old enough to not be judged by some for having a baby. And I'm able to see my mom and grandma as my best friends instead of authority figures.0

the fact that I keep getting better at this thing called life0

Don't have to wear trendy (high heeled) shoes!
Lost the desire/need to impress others.
Worked hard for a long time, and now I have the things and the lifestyle that I used to wish I had.
Either life gets better with age, or I have learned to be happy with things as they are:-)
Don't tell the youngsters... they will be jealous:bigsmile:0 -

They don't *have to be* designer, but sure is nice being able to afford it without missing your rent!
oh, and I drop my kids off in my PJ's and baseball cap!!
Shoot - 40 for me, and I'm only getting started :smokin: :devil:0 -
Just that i've finally reached the point of not really caring about what anyone else thinks. If you like me, then fabulous, if you don't, shrug, your loss. No games, what you see is what you get. Such a relief!!!0

I thought this was a thread about boobs.
As for perks, now I have a built in excuse for being forgetful.0 -
A certain freedom in not worrying about what other people think of me. A boldness in being able to say what is on mind. And being able to say to the kids.....when I was young gas cost 99 cents a gallon and cigarettes were 2.50 a pack and we had to walk up hill both ways in the snow to get anywhere!0

The young, cute guys talk to me now - because I give good advice (but I'll take it)....
Also, one of the perks of early alzheimer's: you can watch all those really good movies you watched while you were young - for the first time...)
