Ok I've lost over 80lbs in last 6 months and decided to start exercising(walking, jogging and lifting) on lifting I've been aiming to tone up so haven't been doing a lot of weight but rather low with more reps.
I've been eating the same calorie deficit as before I started and seems I've gained maybe 2 to 3lbs in the last 3 weeks and only changes I've made is I do take a pre workout before lifting but that's it,I haven't taken any of my measurements so don't know on that side but just curious how normal it is to gain this amount of weight.

do you log your pre-workout?
is probably water retention if your muscles are sore?0 -

Muscles are a little sore not bad,the pre workout in taking is capsules I did log one day but it showed no difference in any of my nutritional info,I'm using n.o. Fury.0 -
I'm in maintenance and find that my weight fluctuates in a 3 lb range and it tends to go up after intense strength based workouts (kettle bells, plyometrics, HIIT cycling), I usually have lower weight days after running work out days. After a few weeks period of not working out after I gave birth, I started working out again and my weight literally increased 4 lbs overnight and stayed that way for a few days until it dropped back down to my normal weight. Anyway, this is just my personal experience, nothing scientific or evidence based and maybe the weight fluctuations have nothing to do with exercise... but I have been highly athletic for years and weigh on a daily basis and have noticed this general trend for myself. Oh also some pre-workouts have supplements in them that make your muscles retain water.0

Should I opt to not take the pre workouts then,or is there some they don't do that?0 -
