Yikes. I guess it's like us, some are better at stopping when they're not hungry than others... I've had both lean and fat kitties and their life situation was always the same.

It's funny how some cats can have food always available without issue whereas others can't resist munching... That being said, it took this kitteh a good bit of effort to become that large.

The Bandit kitty was having bladder issues, so we had to put him on special vet food. And because it wouldn't do Smokey any harm, I fed it to them both. Smokey was fine. Bandit gained 2 kilos in a year!! I had to buy one of those multiple-hole, they've got to bat the food out one piece at a time feeders to get his weight back under control.
And yes, I did have a brother/sister combo named Smokey and The Bandit. Still have Smokey.
