First months weight loss - Good or Bad ?

Hi everyone been using MFP for the past month religiously. I've weighed ALL my meals and although I've fallen off the wagon a few times in relation to Alcohol (give me a break I'm Irish LOL) I feel like I've been pretty good eating wise

In my first month I've managed to lose 8lbs (248 to 240). Overall goal is 185. Is this an average loss rate or too fast or too fast ?

    I think 8 lbs in a month is awesome! Way to go! I believe they say that 2lbs in a week is kind of the maximum per week for sustainable loss, so you're right on target!
