Insanity Program Question

I recently purchased the Insanity DVDs and just found out they are being delivered next week. It comes with a calendar for 9 weeks worth of exercise. My original plan was to start July 4th and do it through the summer. I'm tempted to start it next week when it comes, however I will be away few days each week for two weeks in a row and that will mess up the "calendar". Do you think I should just wait until July 4th when I have 9 straight weeks I can do it, or should I start it and just pick where I was after my vacations? (I'll be doing other workouts during my vacations)

Just start it and if you have to repeat week one do it. Extra will not hurt you. If you have extend it do it. Don't wait to start! Start it when you get it. Last year when I did it I had to adjust it with my schedule.
Have fun. Be Prepared to work hard and sweat0 -
I'm doing Turbo Fire and i'm a little worried about being away for a few days and being unable to do the schedule properly now and again as this is a 20 week program. But I think i'm just going to pick up where I left off when I get back from my weekend holiday.0

Because I'm a Beachbody coach I got it sooner than the people I was coaching so I just did a preview week until they got theirs.
With that in mind...Once you start you do not want to start a week over. If you miss a workout try to make it up on a rest day or do 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening but do not start over or start a week over. This program is hard and you don't want to make it longer than 63 days if you can help it. If you keep repeating weeks cuz life gets in the way you probably won't ever finish it. Just do your best.0 -
Thanks for the advice! It actually came today so I plan on starting tomorrow, I'll have a full week in and just pick up where I left off when I get back and get in some activity when I'm away.0

I have done Insanity two times and am currently in my third round doing it. You have several options here, you can:
1. Start the program when you get it and pick up where you left off when you have to miss a few days.
2. Take a laptop/portable dvd player and do the workouts when you're gone, as they require no equipment
3. Start after your trips
Any of the options above will still give you results.
Best of luck!0 -
Ditto what ames said: take a portable DVD player and take your workouts with you!!! The awesome thing about Insanity is there is not equipment required - you just need floor space!! I've worked out in hotel rooms before - it's definitely do-able!0
