Fat Free Thousand Island mixed with red wine vinegar to make it more watery.
2 Tbsp of thousand island 50 calories.
Dumped an avocado on the salad for good fat. Open diary0 -
Pace Picante sauce
I sometimes save calories for the dressing even though I dislike doing that. I think dressing is a waste of calories. Trying to change my mind set about it. Dressing is good use of calories for me because I will consume more vegetables if I use it.0 -
Salsa, a little soy sauce and pb2 peanut butter powder (makes an awesome Asian satay sauce!), basalmic vinegar, or Trader Joe's Champagne Pear Vineagrette.0

Low cal dressing. Good quality balsamic. Lemon juice. We don't really go in for dressings in the UK the same way as in the US so it doesn't often occur to me to add anything!0

I either use very little dressing or no dressing at all.0

I have a good organic basalmic & olive oil dressing. 40 calories a tbsp. I stretch it by spritzing either straight basalmic or red wine vinegar on all my greens before adding the dressing.0

Me too. I use one tablespoon of ranch dressing or I skip the dressing.0 -
I've been making my own dressing! Even squeezing half a lemon or lime and adding herbs makes salad taste spectacular.0
-
I add a bun, a burger and some ketchup.....0

Bolthouse farms dressings are delicious and low calorie! 45 caps for 2 tbs serving. In the veggie section with the Marie's dressings.0

Vinegar- different ones. I dont like oily dressings.0

I usually make my own - 2 tsp of brown or Dijon mustard, herbs, salt, pepper, 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp olive oil. That's usually enough for a lightly dressed salad for 2 people. 35 calories. You don't even really need the oil, in which case it's more like 15 calories.0

Just salsa you can buy some that say 0 calories and it just taste good with no guilt0

my favorite these days is one tablespoon of sour cream mixed with 2 tablespoons of salsa- a generous amount of dressing for only 35 calories.

I like to top salads with some sprinkled dried basil, oregano, salt and pepper then drizzle balsamic vinegar over it. If I have calories to spare sometimes I'll also drizzle (from a measuring spoon) some olive oil. If I have company, I mix all this up in a bowl or gravy boat so people can dress their own salads. The trick is instead of traditional more oil less vinegar, I do 3 parts good balsamic to 1 part oil. It's always popular and I get requests to make it.
If you have fresh basil, a handful chopped and mixed into your salad then add the other things is even better.0 -
Whole foods makes a garlicky kale salad that's pretty low cal. Ive never put the tahini in mine--just the vinegar, yeast, garlic, lemon, and a dash of soy sauce.

The trader Joe's light champagne vinaigrette is my favorite store bought dressing.0

Plain greek yogurt. It tastes creamy and indulgent but is macro freindly (for the low fat options) and is nutrient dense.0
-
There are good homemade ranch (greek yogurt and herbs mainly) and blue cheese (low fat SC/greek yogurt and blue cheese crumbles) out there. About 20-30 cals a Tbsp.

I make my own using non fat plain Greek yogurt and the hidden valley Greek yogurt ranch seasoning. It's amazing
If you like balsamic vinegrette. Skinny girls makes a bottle and it's under $2 at Walmart.0 -
Walden Farms makes 0 calorie dressings but they are very high in sodium. Walmart carries it.0
-
Few grams of roasted sunflower seeds. Little Parmesan cheese is great too.0

I like Good Seasons (make it fresh) Italian dressing. I make up the dressing according to the packet directions, but then I top off the cruet with vinegar so it's all the way to the top. It "lightens" the dressing and makes it last longer. I've never calculated the reduction in calories so I log it the same - I figure it's better to slightly over estimate since I'm probably underestimating somewhere else in my day.0

Olive oil, balsamic vinegar and agave syrup + salt and pepper. 1tsp of oil and agave is enough for a big salad for two and not very high on calories.0
-
While I generally avoid low-cal substitutes for most things (because a smaller portion of the full-cal stuff still usually tastes better than a bunch of sadness to me), The OPA greek yogurt dressings are actually very good.
