I used to do HIIT 5 days a week for half an hour and saw great results. I had to stop because of finances/changed jobs, now I'm looking at joining a gym so that I can take part in a variety of classes as I'm not the greatest alone in a gym. Will it have a positive or negative effect on fitness level/weight loss if I did core class one day, zumba the next, swimming the third (for example)? Should you mix up or keep to similar sessions?

weight loss is about calories in vs calories out. It doesn't really matter what exercise you do to burn calories and mixing it up is perfectly fine.
I don't see any reason not to mix up cardio unless you have sport specific goals, like running a marathon, or some such thing.0 -
I want to lose weight - my body fat % is far too high and increase general fitness levels. I know working out each day will have benefits but wasn't sure if mixing it up too much is inefficient. I've done swimming before but that didn't give great results, whereas HIIT did - don't want to make it harder for myself
