Hi,

whats the best triceps workout?

I`ve come to a bit of standstill and focused too much on the biceps, so I need to get out of the bench press habit.

Any ideas?

    Push-ups.
Tricep dips on a kitchen chair or stool.

    Dips
Also, Bench press is a great compound exercise, every good strength training program should have lots of good compound exercises like bench press, squats, deadlifts, dips, chin ups, and overhead press.

I love the strength training for simply woman. The work on the triceps is great! Which I am certain it would work for a man too. Just take a dumb bell, and with your arm at a 90 degree angle (elbow up fist to your side) Lift it as many times as you can(straightening your arm all the way). Once you do that, then straighten out your arm completely and lift as many reps as you can. (with only a straight arm)

Need more info from you. What kind of Pressing (any bench press, shoulder press exercise, including dips) and Tricep work do you currently do? What kind of rep scheme and resistance do you use for each? What are your weight lifting goals?
  • Bench pressing with a narrow grip is a tricep dominate exercise. It does not actively engage the biceps.. unless you're doing it wrong. Tricep extensions are great too,

Nice reference, I love Dave Tate's group.

The thing is before we can really make a recommendation we need to know what's going on now with your workout routine now. It would also help if we knew what your 1, 2, or 3 rep-max was on the Flat Bench Press and on the Close-Grip Bench Press posted by chairmanmoo.
