Sparkling Water

I drink quite a bit of sparking mineral water as part of my water intake- does the sodium in it amount to anything worth worrying about?
I only noticed it when I read the side of the bottle and from reading on here I thought water was supposed to get rid of sodium in your body?

I've actually recently read that you shouldn't have ANY carbonated beverages. They aren't good for your body, even just sparkling water.
But, based on sodium alone, the amounts in sparking water aren't going to kill your weight loss efforts unless you drink a ridiculous amount and go over on your sodium for the day. Your body needs some sodium so not all is bad!0 -
I love sparkling water too, but i'd try to limit yourself to 1 or 2 glasses a day, then have the rest just be water. Because plain water is best.0

Aside from arguments about sparkling being bad for you I drink Santa Vittoria. Sodium content only 0.5 mg/L as against 5 to 10 for most waters. It's two main elements are Calcium and Magnesium both of which are good for you.0

I drink normal water during the day but I love sparkling with my dinner - I dunno why it just feels nicer!0

I use sparkling as a sort of wine substitute. I put a couple of slices of lemon in a nice wine glass, a couple of ice cubes, and then the sparkling water. It's a lot less cals than a glass of wine and really equally satisfying.0

I ONLY drink sparkling water. My entire life my family and I have only drank seltzer water.
I don't like the taste of non-carbonated (ohne Kohlensäure) water and it's difficult for me to drink a lot of it.0
