"What workout plan should I do?"
"The one you will actually do and stick to."
"When is the best time to workout?"
"Whenever you will actually do your workout."

Depends what you want to achieve and/or how much you're willing to do.

Try some different workouts to see what you like. I don't like to do the same thing all the time, so mine consist of M/W weights, T/Th/Sun run (weather permitting) and morning dvd workouts(anything from The Firm, Jillian Michaels, Denise Austin, Turbo Jam, etc...)

    To achieve what goal(s)?

Your fitness goals would dictate what a good workout for you is going to be. As a cyclist, a perfectly good running program may be a good workout in general...but it's not exactly going to help me excel as a cyclist though some cross training could be beneficial...just as an example.

I love the Body Sculpting Bible for Women books; the original is awesome. I have a set of dumbbells and a weight bench at home, so I can workout at any time without going to the gym, but it's really easy to follow at the gym as well. I like to alternate strength and cardio days, sometimes combine. Just find what works for you!

I have Daily Burn. I love it. I love that I can go my pace and not have to worry about other people staring like I would if I were in a class. I love that it has options. Do I want to do the 365 workout video in the morning? or do I only have 15 minutes? I did a 12 minute kickboxing video the other day and it was a workout. I was sweating by the end of it. It also has pilates and yoga! Like I said, soo many options!

I will eventually join a gym. It's really hard with my husbands hours right now and where we live, so this is a great middle ground. And plus it's so much easier to run outside than on a dreadmill!
