Got a new scale started on Friday with daily weigh in.
Friday 296.6

Sat 295.8

Sunday 293.4

Same scale first thing in the morning. Just seems weird to see weigh go down this fast. Is this okay.

The daily number isn't as relevant as the overall trend.

If you are new to losing weight, it's likely you are losing a lot of water, which will fluctuate from day to day. In addition, it seems pretty consistent in my observations here that people lose weight faster in the beginning.

Another consideration is that people with more weight to lose can lose it faster in the beginning because your body requires more calories to just keep itself alive than people with less weight to lose. So if you are eating a modest caloric deficit based on your goal weight, there's a bigger discrepancy between your current actual caloric needs than the current actual caloric needs of someone who only has 10 or 30# to lose. Does that make sense?

Yeah my starting weigh in 2011 was 335. I had many ups and downs . Been though surgeries injuries so been side lined a few times. Finally back on track with diet exercise and all other things. Just kinda blew my mind with weigh going down so fast. Thanks for your help

Great job for getting back on the horse over and over again!

Wow. You've already lost 40#. What I hear from the docs I work with is that losing even 10% of your body weight has significant impacts on one's health.

    Way to go!
